SPRING PROJECTS

Progetti di Primavera, o di Estate, o di Autunno. Auguriamoci di quest' anno. Questo studio è uno dei tanti per quello che sarebbe diventato uno dei progetti più acclamati di Madoi. Quello schizzino sulla destra, una minuscola abside con un vortice all' interno, sarebbe diventato un immenso affresco di un' intera abside di una Chiesa. Dove? A Parma. In  quella che nel 1966 era la sua estrema periferia. Naturalmente. Prendi un posto disagiato, dove hai la certezza che non ti veda nessuno, e lì trovi Madoi. Ora questo posto, questa Chiesa, come nelle migliori favole metropolitane, è sorta agli onori di mille attenzioni: restauro tecnico e artistico (a causa o grazie ad un terremoto) e minuziosa ricerca di ricordi di quella estate del 1966 quando Madoi teneva tutti svegli con la musica a palla per notte dopo notte mentre, spiaccicato sotto la volta dell' abside a 15 metri di altezza, dipingeva sdraiato su tavole di legno. Bene, ora tutto questo verrà rivisitato e seguito con una serie di eventi prima durante e dopo, in Primavera, Estate, Autunno, speriamo di questo anno.

Spring, Summer or Autumn projects. Let's hope this year's ones. This draft is one of many for what would have been one of the most famous Madoi's works. That small sketch on the right, a tiny apse with a whirl inside, would have become a vast painting splashed on a whole apse of a Church. Where? In Parma, in what in 1966 was considered its suburbs. Take the hardest and more comfortless place, where you are sure that nobody could trace you, and you find a Madoi there. Now this place, this Church, as in the best urban legends, are attaining great fame and attention for  a project of an imminent technical and artistic restoration (due to or thanks to a recent  earthquake)and of  a detailed research of documents, memories, paintings spread around by Madoi in  that summer in 1966 when he was keeping all the neighbourhood awake night after night with the music at full blast while he was painting lying on wooden tables, crushed under the apse vault at 15 meters of height. Great, now all this will be reappraised and followed by a variety of Events, before, during and after the whole process, in Spring, Summer and/or Autumn, let's hope in 2014.
