Cinquanta. Numero di anniversario, di ricorrenza - che poi, anche se meno gioioso è la stessa cosa - o numero di anni di vita appena sfiorati, come piedi mezzi dentro e mezzo fuori dall' orlo del precipizio da cui si deve saltare, subito o a brevissimo termine. Per Madoi quest' ultima opzione è stata determinante. Così dalla sua attuale posizione di privilegio visivo, anche se con il divieto di intromissione vocale - cioè non gli è permesso di sbraitare dissensi - ora si può godere tutti i suoi 50° anniversari, a lui dedicati per via di opere da lui lasciate e da altri - quando non dimenticate - restaurate, fatte rivivere, celebrate.
Siamo certi che il 50° anniversario che gli piacerà di più sarà quello di quest' anno, che celebra la fine del lungo e meraviglioso restauro del suo affresco del 1966, a Parma, nella Chiesa del Corpus Domini e al quale sono stati dedicati gli ultimi due anni di eventi a sottolineare il work in progress dei lavori, il ribadire l' immenso amore, attenzione, cura e ammirazione per Madoi da parte di tutti i partecipanti di questa incredibile operazione di recupero. Una Mostra conclusiva è prevista per il prossimo Ottobre.

Number stating an anniversary, a celebration - though less joyful meaning the same thing - or number of years of life just tackled, with feet half in half out of the edge of a precipice from which you have to jump, immediately or in the shortest of time. This last option was Madoi's personal time out. And so, from his actual privileged visual position, even if banned from vocal interference - that is he cant bark his eventual dissent - he now can savour all his 50th anniversaries through the artworks he left behind which - if not forgotten or neglected - have been restored, or will be restored, brought back to life, celebrated. We are sure that the 50th Anniversary he would like more will be the one in progress, this very year. In 2016 we celebrate the end of the long and wonderful restauration of the fresco Madoi painted in 1966, in the Corpus Domini Church, in Parma. An exhausting and elaborated work lasted almost two years, full of Events showing the work in progress of this magic act of love, attention and admiration for Madoi showed by all the Team of this incredible operation. A closing Event is foreseen for next October.
